Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Remember to take the giblets out! I’ve heard some people forget =)

Turkey and RSS feeds

Wednesday, November 23rd, 2005

The worst part about having an RSS feed and all participation/folksonomy/web2.0/BS is that you appear lazy if you don’t update your weblog often enough. Today I got to thinking: what if I just had a bunch of syndicated content come together automatically? That then could be a surrogate for me actually creating content. Sure everyone’s got RSS feed aggregators, but if you add enough criteria you might get pretty close to the output being exactly what is interesting to you – which is almost the same as you blogging. Anyway, that’s all a bunch of BS, but venture capitalists are once again writing checks for stupider ideas, so don’t complain to me.

Tomorrow I’ve got Turkey roasting duty. I bought far too large a bird this year, but since I’m hoping things will turn out really delicious no one should mind the left overs.

To the rescue

Well, I am back on my own again. My father-in-law, Larry, left last night after being here for 2 weeks to take care of Nick while I was on bed rest. I don’t know what I would have done with out him here and I am so thankful to have had his help. Nick had a lot of fun having Grandpa around all the time to play. He is absolutely in love with his new swingset which was an early Christmas gift from the Yunt Grandparents. We hope to have pictures up soon. Things have been a little crazy to say the least.

Best of luck to our friend Bob Jeans as he awaits election results on Snoqualmie City Council.
