I realize the page is getting filled up with tiny thumbnails. Some time soon I’ll do a little PHP coding and fix it up so it automatically breaks up the folder into several web pages. Also on my list of website housekeeping is to refactor (that’s programmer talk for cleanup/optimize) a lot of my pages to use a common set of include files. While I’m in there I might also make the images appear in a pop-up window, allowing you to keep the thumbnail page open. I wrote all this myself, so pardon the lack of elegance in places.
BTW: you guys can always leave comments on this blog
Obscured View
Friday, July 16th, 2004This morning when I sat down at my desk I noticed a cruise liner had docked at pier 66. For those who saw my photos from my office, that’s directly in front of me. So out of curiosity I pull out my binoculars and take a quick scan of the ship. I see pretty boring stuff: old people eating breakfast in the cafe, crew members taking a smoke break – but then I noticed something quite disturbing. Standing on the deck of one of the cabins, was an extremely overweight elderly man wearing nothing but his tighty whitey undershorts. He was facing downtown Seattle, stretching and scratching himself. I wonder if he realized he was in plain view of potentially a few hundred thousand people in a densely populated urban area…
Sean’s new digs
Monday, July 12th, 2004Too many people must think I’ve been exaggerating about how spectacular the view from my new office is. Here’s proof that those people are nothing more than jealous bozos.
Weekend
Friday, July 9th, 2004Only worked a half day Friday because the company is moving to a new building in Belltown this weekend. It’s super plush Microsoft owned real estate, and *I* get a window office. Yup. Me, the computer geek with all my linux boxes gets a window office looking over Puget Sound. I can’t wait to snap some photos and post them.
Here’s a blurry, but very cute picture I took tonight of Nick.
