Nicholas is 3 months old this week. We haven’t been blogging much about him recently, so here are some video clips to make up for that.

Stupid Quote for June

Friday, June 18th, 2004

NEW YORK (Reuters) – They said it — notable quotes from the news:

“I did spend, you know, at least a decade taking my clothes off and being photographed, saying bad words on TV, and, you know, that sort of thing. … I don’t regret it, but it’s just … I mean everybody takes their clothes off now. And then what?”

== MADONNA, on the pop vixen image she has cultivated during her career.

Surprise From The Dog

Thursday, June 17th, 2004

This morning I noticed Violet (the husky mix with the pointy ears) was acting really strange. She was wimpering and hunched over, but trying to walk at the same time. I watched this rather closely with the hope of figuring out what was happening. Then I noticed the problem. Dangling out of Violet’s butt was a long black sock (thankfully it belonged to Lisa and not me). She tried to pinch it off, but the stretchy nylon wouldn’t let go. To make it worse, it was a very long sock – long enough that the end was dragging across the kitchen floor like a paint brush dipped in dog shit. What a great morning. I had to clean up my dog’s art project in the kitchen, and then “assist” with removing the sock in the backyard. It was an unbelievably disgusting ordeal.

I vaguely remember her swallowing that sock several days ago, but later forgot about it. That’ll teach me…
