could be worse

Friday, April 30th, 2004

Last night went badly on many levels, but being the eternal optimist I realized some people have it much worse than me.
Here are some examples :

Work’s getting silly

Friday, April 30th, 2004

I’m “on-site” all night during a deployment. I have been able to get some work done, but it’s distracting with all the ruckus going on outside. For those who don’t know, our office is right in Pioneer Square. This provided my workmates and me a fantastic view of a drunk dude rolling around in an alley off of King Street. Bouncers from the club had to drag him away, not for his safety, but because a stretched limousine wanted to park there.

Crazy stuff going on for a Thursday night. Somebody should install a live webcam to stream all the street action… anyway, time to see if things blew up.

Barbara and Kara back to NC

Grandma Barbara with Nicholas
Yesterday my mom and Kara flew back to Charlotte after staying with us for a week. I felt kind of bad that we couldn’t do more fun things around town, but baby Nicholas was the center attraction and no one cared about much else. It was great to enjoy their visit, along with some of my mom’s great cooking. With a continent between us I don’t get homemade cinnamon rolls very often. yummy

Also, we continue to upload new photos of Nicholas here. So check that page out occassionally for update – he’s constantly changing.
